ReplyDeleteHi Mz Kaylee. Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I've been wondering how you deal with gift exchange on birthdays and Christmas. Since you have control of the money and your husband is on a limited allowance, is he expected to get you a small gift out his allowance, does he get a bonus to spend on gifts, or are gifts not expected by you?
ReplyDeleteIf you do exchange gifts, do you spend fairly equal amounts on each other, or is he limited in what he can spend while you can be more generous with him?

He has access to a credit card and there is no restriction on gifts that he buys me. He buys me small gifts throughout the year to show his love and appreciation for me. The money for my gifts does not have to come out of his allowance but sometimes he will choose to use his allowance. For Christmas we do not buy gifts for each other. I buy all the gifts for the kids and family. For Birthdays, we buy gifts for each other. There is no expectation by me that he spends more on me than I do on him, but he usually does anyway.

ReplyDelete"Coughs" is how I'm usually called, but "calling bells" sounds nicer, so I'd go with that.
ReplyDeleteWe tried using a bell for a while, but it kept being in the wrong room and then she'd have to cough anyway so I'd come and fetch her the bell. :-)
Dangerous to get to "four calling bells" though, because by that point she'd be very cross and I'd be in big trouble. The "You've been unreliable lately and I want to improve your performance" summoning method is a remote-control shock collar. Much less pleasant!
